Text Box: On key and off much fun was had by all at this year's Silent Auction. Lovely decorations in a music and fall theme were provided by Maryke DesChamps. Ida Krall coordinated salads and desserts and pizza was ordered from former church members Al and Tasha Weising. Lots of very creative and generous donations were provided by members and friends of the church. Guests and members were equally generous in their bidding, raising over $3000. Many thanks to all who helped with this event: Gary Bechter for producing creative bid sheets, tallying the bids and sending out notices to bidders and donors alike; Lucy Trissel and Mary Lou Cornell who made calls to likely bidders and handled the money box at the auction; Steve Preece for procuring, setting up and running the Karaoke machine; Doris Bechter for generously offering assistance with food needs; and Larry Lorenzen who generously attended the auction and tried to keep us on key!
