There are many stories one could tell to answer the question of "Where do we look to find the power that will bring wholeness and healing to our lives?" This service will be an exploration of a few of those stories, and possibilities on how we might help transform a hurting world.

Our annual Ingathering, ushering in a new church year, brings opportunities to learn all the ways in which a congregation ministers to its members and to society.
18th “The Essential UU Bookshelf” - Barry Linden, Sandra Mahoney, Llew Howell, Tom Lopez and Ann Harper 
the presenters will offer appraisals of ten books selected from the more than thirty suggested by the West Valley congregation. They will be exploring how each of these works has impacted their thinking, its effect on their point of view, whether it was spiritually uplifting, and if so, how. (Look for copies of the complete list of books with the selected books highlighted, on the Greeters table next Sunday, September 4.)
