¨ Concerns were raised about the increasing cost of landscaping.  Facilities Committee will work on proposal for Grounds by the next board meeting.

¨ Guidelines will be drafted for the Finance Committee to use for evaluating fund-raising activities and determining how to announce fund-raising activities during church services.

¨ Both In Gathering and Religious Education Family Camping Trip are scheduled for the second weekend in September.

¨ Planning will begin for Prescott retreat in early October.  Board members and committee chairs will be invited to participate in long-range planning discussions.

¨ Committee of the Whole meetings are scheduled for September and early October to clarify next steps in long-range planning.

¨ Agreed upon text of advertisement for Glendale Star and Peoria Times weekly religion page.

¨ Remember that September 15th is the deadline for our Flower Bulb fundraiser. Please see Dorothy Ward for a flyer and order form.

¨ This month marks the beginning of our new half-time Minister—great news! This also means that our expenses are increased from this month forward and as you know the congregation approved a deficit budget in order to make this happen. Now is the time to step up and make it work. We are asking all who are able to increase their pledges by 10% for the remainder of this fiscal year.
