Text Box: This month's Circle Supper will be Saturday, May 14, at the home of Steve and Kathleen Preece, 7818 N. 16th Lane, Phoenix. A sign-up sheet is available at church . . . or call Ann Harper at (602)992-3132 to be included. Ann can also be reached by e-mail at candide@att.net.

As temperatures begin to rise and families head out for vacations and/or cooler climates Circle Suppers will enter its annual state of suspended animation. It's been a good year with new hosts and the opportunity to welcome new members and friends. In September plan to attend the "Welcome Back Potluck" at the Church, and beginning the Circle Supper cycle again in October. Do consider hosting one next year.

UU WINE COUNTRY EXCURSIONS

The UUs of Napa, California invite you to a unique opportunity to enjoy two of America’s most scenic valleys, Napa and Sonoma.

We will help you choose from over 600 wineries and hundreds of world class restaurants, COPIA (the American Center for Food, Wine and the Arts), Jack London’s home, Francis Ford Coppola’s winery and movie museum, art galleries, miles of trails with breathtaking views and more.

Locally savvy UU guides will drive you to selected wineries, historic sites and mountain trails with breathtaking views.  You will stay in UU homes for good conversation, good breakfasts and warm hospitality.

Our offer is limited to June, July and August.  Plan three nights with two days of touring.  Our fees are well below market rate for similar services. All proceeds benefit our Fellowship.  We have limited openings, so contact us now for details.  Tom Wilson  (707) 254 7443 twilson9@sbcglobal.net.

We would like to thank and recognize the people who have so faithfully come once, and sometimes twice a month to clean our two buildings. They are Barbara Kovach, Dorothy Ward, Darnell Kirksey, Charlie Klinkert, Michael Gillette, and Lucy Trissel. The bathrooms are mopped and the fixtures are cleaned. The two buildings are dusted and vacuumed every week and all the trash gathered up and taken away. Doris Bechter does a fine job of keeping the kitchen clean. Our thanks to these dedicated people.

Our WVUU First Friday Breakfast can no longer be at the Denny's restaurant on I-17 and Dunlap. they are remodeling and our back room will no longer be available to us. We will now be meeting at the Good Egg located at 2957 W. Bell Road. They have a back room that we can use. We will still meet at 9 a.m. on the first Friday of every month. Our next meeting will be May 6th.
