Text Box: 1st “Unless You Bless Me” - Terry Sims
If you had to choose the one burning issue of our time, or maybe any time, what would it be? My candidate is: "How can we live together when we fundamentally disagree about the most important things?" I don’t like any of the possible answers to this question, but at least my religion gives me one that might work, if I have enough faith to keep trying it.
8th “A Day in the Life.”
Reverend LeRoy describes the occupation of hospital chaplain, examining the importance of being present to the human presence of other human beings.
15th	“Experience, Strength, and Hope” - Terry Mead
Terry will introduce us to Al-Anon by incorporating a 12-step meeting experience into the church service. Hear how members share their "experience, strength and hope" in dealing with the physical, emotional and spiritual effects of alcoholism in friends and loved ones. You will understand why 12-step meetings commonly are held in churches.
22nd	“The Varieties of Humanist Experience.”
Rev. LeRoy examines American humanism, in its secular, atheistic, spiritual, and religious expressions.
29th “The Bible Against Itself” - Randel Helms
Randel Helms is a Prof. of religious studies at ASU and a member of the Paradise Valley UU Church. Randy has spoken before at our church. He will be talking about his book "The Bible Against Itself" that was released last month.
