This month, the grade school kids will be working on the virtues of cooperation and honesty.

 

The Jr Hi will be meeting with Tom Wielunski on May 1st to discuss to compare notes on growing up Unitarian – from the perspectives of UU kids and a former UU kid! Later in the month, they will be spending money they raised earlier this year on laser tag, which sounds fascinating but I understand spectators are not allowed.

 

The UU Parenting Group will meet May 22nd in the sanctuary. We will be looking at our Sunday school curriculum for next year, planning summer events and talking about a social concerns project kids and parents may want to do next year.

 

May 22 will be the last day of Sunday school until September. On that day, we will have a brief special recognition ceremony during the church service for our 13 year olds: Cole, Chloe and Ryan, who are all graduating from our Sunday school program this year. We would also like to recognize all our Sunday school teachers at that time.

 

Alana, who takes care of our littlest kids, will be leaving us in June. She and her children are moving up to Flagstaff so she can continue her college education up in the cool pine forest. We'll miss her.
