Text Box: 2005/2006 Canvass Notice
The annual Canvass will begin the week of April 10. This is part of our planning and budgeting process for our fiscal year from June 1, 2005 to May 31, 2006. This is a time to share ideas on what the Church can do for you and what you can do for the Church.
To effectively plan for the coming year, we need an idea of what is important to our congregation and how much money and time we can anticipate to receive from our membership.
Within a week or two after April 10, one of our volunteers will contact you to speak with you about what the Church is planning for the coming year, what you would like to see happening in the Church, and what you will be able to pledge for the coming year.
Our Canvass Dinner will be part of the Church Picnic planned for April 24 after the service. We in the Finance Committee will supply a selection of BBQ meats (and non-meats for vegetarians) and beverages to go with your meals.
Contributions from the Congregation are the main source of income for the Church, and your pledge lets the Board know how much you expect to give for the coming year. We hope all those of you in a position to pledge will continue to give generously so WVUU can continue to provide its services.
The Canvassers will also ask if you are able to give some of your time to help run the Church. We have Board positions and committee positions open.

WVUU Needs You You!

What our Church can provide to our congregation and community depends on what our members can give to the Church.  We are in need of volunteers to serve on the Board and on committees:

Elected Positions – If you are able to serve or know of someone who might be capable of serving in one of these positions, please contact Jim Reay, Jeanne LaMont or Mary Lou Cornell, who form the Nominating Committee. The open elected positions are:

President-Elect—Secretary—At-Large Board Member—Facilities Committee Chair—Finance Committee Chair

Committees – If you are willing to join one of the committees, please contact the chair of the committee.  We have numerous other committees and volunteers that help keep WVUU running and need assistance.  They can be found in your church directory.

Facilities Committee – Charlie Klinkert, chair

Finance Committee – Tom Wielunski, chair

Membership Committee – Cindy Nowell, chair

Religious Education – Kathy Abramowitz, chair
