Note Bunny Baskets the Fledgling Club kids are carrying. They were made for them by the older kids in a secret project meeting. The bunny bags on the table contain small toys. Candy wasn’t the only thing hidden – there were small construction paper carrots kids could find and redeem for bunny bags. We had 16 egg-hunters – and four Jr. Hi kids who did all the egg hiding. |

The Easter Egg Hunt was a big hit thanks to the RE committee and all the kids who helped organize it!
The central garden was reserved for the littlest kids—five and under.

The older kids had the run of the whole property for the hunt. We hid small wrapped candies – and plastic eggs with enclosed instruction for a treasure hunt – a hunt within a hunt, as it were. Took them about a half-hour to find everything. This is good. We used to hide big plastic eggs and the kids were all done in five minutes. We wanted them to enjoy the process, not just the finish line. |
