Text Box: Bill and Kathy Dugan were native New Yorkers before they came to Phoenix in 1994.
They have one son Tommy, age six, who also comes to our church. This young couple met at Case University. Bill is a teacher in the language arts; Kathy is presently attending Gateway College to obtain certification as an X-Ray Technician. They enjoy hiking and are planning to go to Kartchner Caverns in March. The Members of West Valley Unitarian Universalist Church are happy that the Dugan’s decided to join our congregation and want to welcome them.

Text Box: Donnis Ann Deever grew up in Minnesota, attended college at Morningside, married a military man and found her first teaching job in Alexandria, Va. She was later to teach at the Shawnee Mission in Kansas, and after coming to Arizona in 1970 she accepted a teaching position at Sunnyslope High School where she taught for 25 years. Teaching is the love of her life, but she has also spent time in Ethiopia with her military husband and worked for a medical research group while there. She may go back some day. With her second husband she raised three children, two girls and a boy who are in careers of their own. Donnis is in a program that supervises student teachers while at the same time she is helping to raise a grandchild, Ashley. As if that isn’t enough, she is still open to new challenges that may come along. She read about us in the newspaper and decided to visit one day, and enjoyed what she saw. She knew about Unitarians because she has two people in her extended family who are Unitarians. We want to welcome Donnis Ann Deever to our congregation.
