Activities •••
Opportunities for knowing come in many shapes and sizes. We have a number of social groups that gather regularly to provide a relaxed setting where we may meet and greet one another. These on-going groups allow for building deeper and long lasting relationships. We are also involved in several outreach projects that provide services to the local community. All of these programs
encourage us to delve into our own spiritual paths with commitment, reflection and honesty. Go to the “On Tap” page for details about upcoming activities.
• Adult Activity Night - 3rd Tuesday of each month - We gather from 7-8:30 pm for various activities and workshops check the newsletter for details.
• Board of Directors - 2nd Thursday of each month, 5:15 pm in the church sanctuary. This meeting is open to all people.
• Brown Bag Lunch - 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon. General discussion.
• Camping - periodically friends and members rent a group campground for the week end.
• Circle Suppers - 2nd Saturday of each month - Members of the church open their homes each month for dinner with a small group. Hosts offer the main dish; guests bring dishes to share. Sign up at the church on Sundays.
• Clean Up Day - 2nd Saturday of each month - Here is an opportunity to get to know others while helping keep the church looking good. See the newsletter for details.
• Congregational Meeting (Town Hall) 1st Sunday of each month 12:00 pm. Open discussion of current topics relating to the congregation in general.
• Drumming Group - 2nd Wednesday of each month - We are led by a professional drummer who teaches and guides us as we learn and drum together.
• First Friday Breakfast - 1st Friday of each month - We gather at the Denny’s in Metro Center (Dunlap & I-17) at 9:00 am for conversation and breakfast.
• Hiking - 1st Saturday of each month friends and members go to different parts of Arizona for hiking and bag lunches. Trails are chosen that give people an option to walk either short distances or go on more challenging hikes.
• Movie Night - 3rd Friday of each month - We gather at the church to watch a movie on the 'big screen.' Bring your own popcorn. 7:00 pm
• Reader’s Theater - 1st and 3rd Thursdays 7:00 - 9:00 pm reading stage plays. See adult programs under Religious Education.
• Social Action Committee - 3rd Sunday of each month 12:00 pm.
